Here's the short and skinny (of which I am really neither) on me...
Background
I've been in the computer industry in one way or another since 1990. I'm a graduate of the Speed Scientific School at the University of Louisville, and I have my BS in Computer Science. I did a lot of freelance FoxPro/FoxBase programming during college to help pay the bills and have always been a solutions developer at heart. I'm definitely a computer geek at heart and even got to work in a hard-drive repair facility during college. That was a lot of fun, but didn't help much with the social life. ;)
I started out (professionally) in technology as a C/C++ programmer and worked as a Windows application developer for over 5 years. I then took on VB, Delphi and any other programming language I could learn (I acutally did some REXX on OS/2 and Gupta SQLWindows for quite a while, in case anyone remembers either of those languages).
I eventually decided that I wanted to try my hand at enterprise consulting and found my way to KiZAN in 1996 and have been doing a mixture of Microsoft-centric infrastructure and solutions development and consulting ever since.
Current
I still work for KiZAN and continue to specialize in the Microsoft space doing enterprise consulting for our clients. I've been fortunate in that I've been able to work with some really good people, make new friends and do some awesome projects over the years. I love what I do and I hope it comes through in the work and the end result.
I specialize in core networking, Active Directory and all supporting technologies, Identity Management, Virtualization, Exchange and all of the Microsoft collaborative suite of products. I'm currently working quite a bit with Powershell and am trying to become as proficient with it as I am with VB.net/C#.
Hobbies and Interests
As fun as work can be, there's always room for some other interests. I love classic arcade games, working on cars and building up vehicles (I leave nothing stock and boy do I pay for it), doing home improvement projects and spending time with my family and friends whenever possible.
I've recently taken an interest in PCM reprogramming in late-model cars, as well as forced-induction... both of which have been a blast to learn more about... I never knew the inner-workings of a motor could be as complex as it is today.
Oh yeah, I almost forgot... My wonderful wife puts up with endless re-runs of Modern Marvels and Spongebob that my daughter and I love to watch (over and over and over again). You're the best!
